"No.61" – Clean and Refined with a Subtle Vintage Touch

Maintaining a sense of vintage charm while offering a polished, clean impression, the "No.61" strikes a refined balance.

The denim is preshrunk to minimize shrinkage, but intentionally left untreated for anti-twisting. As a result, the jeans naturally develop a tasteful vintage character with wear.

The fabric incorporates Hakushu cotton, a traditional Japanese cotton cultivated since the Edo period, yielding a supple and resilient textile.

Both warp and weft threads use 7 count yarn, and a singeing finish is applied to give the surface a clean, uniform appearance.

The selvedge features Edwin’s iconic rainbow-colored edge, the same used on their first domestically produced jeans, the 359BF model released in 1963.

For the pocket linings, 100% cotton herringbone fabric is used to preserve the vintage feel. Reinforcement cloth is sewn onto the lower section to enhance durability in this high-wear area.

While retaining classic denim heritage throughout, the No.61 features a zipper fly for easier wearability. Chain stitching at stress points is sewn finely and inconspicuously for strength and a neat finish.

The back pockets are compact and well-balanced in shape. The W-stitch uses the same golden brown thread as the main construction, reinforcing a clean, modern, and refined look.

The leather patch is made from natural tanned leather, which darkens and develops a glossy amber patina over time. To emphasize sophistication, the design is kept minimal with a simple branded hot-stamp.
